I-Opener Dance: RELEASING - Feb 4 at 10 am

Hello Dancing Family,

After energizing January start we are ready to dance with you again. This time we have a special treat to begin: Aaron Brando, internationally acclaimed teacher will lead us through a warm up inspired by Contact Improvisation (no prior experience necessary, partner dancing optional). This fun and connective exercise will flow into ecstatic dance journey ushered by DJ’s Luminus (Marek) & Hip Sockit (Brando)

After expressing our January visions for 2018, we are inviting in February theme of RELEASING. Let’s use the power of dance to move energy through our bodies and release all that doesn’t serve us.

Admission: $15 - $20 sliding scale, students $10 w/ID, kids under 15 free

Venue: Somerville Armory, 191 Highland Ave, Somerville, Mass

The uplifted dancing space is considered to be sacred. We abstain from social talk and dance without shoes. You may participate in the dance or just enjoy witnessing. There’s interactive art, space for prayer or meditation, a zone for flowtoys, and a kids corner with family activities.
