Scholarships

This scholarship aims to encourage a diverse environment at I-Opener Dance events through inspiring the participation of individuals who self-identify as belonging to an underrepresented and/or marginalized group in the conscious dance community.

We invite applications from members of all types of underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, including but not limited to race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, ability/disability, etc.

While learning and exchange may happen as a result of interactions between dance participants, we do not expect scholarship recipients to be responsible for being an ambassador for their group or an educator of others.

We offer ten persons per month full scholarship, covering participation in all I-Opener Dance events. To apply, you must commit to attending at least one dance during the one-month scholarship period.

Applications are accepted at all times on a rolling basis. Scholarships are given for each calendar month. If you apply, you will be emailed a notification one week in advance of each month stating either that you have been given a scholarship, or that you are still on the waiting list.
