June 11th ~ I-Opener Boston with Gaia Roots

Hit our last I-Opener Dance before we take a summer break. This is a special one: after delicious yoga warm up led by Chandra Cantor , we will get lost in the folkloric music from all around the world by an all female band Gaia Roots. They will bless us with their percussions and soaring vocal harmonies. The morning will be concluded by another ecstatic journey with DJ Marek Maitri.

You may participate in the dance or just enjoy witnessing. There’s interactive art, space for prayer or meditation, a zone for flow toys, and a kids corner with family activities. Each month we donate a percentage of our proceeds to support a local cause. The Somerville Armory is a center for creative expression and we hold our events in their large hall. The uplifted dancing space is considered to be sacred. We abstain from social talk and dance without shoes.
