March - the first month of spring, new growth and fertility. March I-Opener Dance is calling our community to gather, express our desires and plant the seeds we hope to grow in the future. (As it became a tradition for all March I-Openers ) Chandra Cantor is back to guide us through a yoga warm up, followed by ecstatic beats with DJ Luminus and fierce drumming with Lisa Buchei & Jon Holland. Community art project, Kids Corner, mezzanine floor for hula hoops & flow toys and more. You may participate in the dance or just enjoy witnessing. There’s interactive art, live drumming, space for prayer or meditation, a zone for flow toys, and a kids corner with family actives. All are welcome! We dance barefoot, though non-street shoes may be worn for health reasons. We consider the dance floor to be a sacred uplifted space and request conversation be taken outside to honor dance and respect those engaged in the dance journey. Please review the safety and respect guidelines posted at the door and any concerns at any time may be addressed with an available Space Holder.
